  • How long have you been coming to Enliven Fitness?

Since Jan/Feb 2011 I think

 

  • What motivated you to join Enliven Fitness?

 

Was already a member at a gym but never pushed myself and was not getting any results. I hated going to the gym and found any excuse I could not to go. I walked past Wentworth Park one day and saw Michael training a class and whilst it looked tough everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves too so I enquired and joined that week and have been going ever since.

 

  • What were your top 3 goals upon joining?

 

Weight Loss

Get Fit

Enjoy the class and not dread exercising

 

  • What are the most significant changes that you have noticed since beginning at Enliven Fitness?

I am so much fitter now and actually love working out. For someone that absolutely hated the gym and working out I now look forward to it (well still may complain a little but doesn’t stop me going).

I also find that the classes are a great way for me to de-stress from work.

  • How often do you train per week?

5/6 times per week (started off doing 2 days a week, then 3 now I try to train every day if possible)

  • What do you enjoy most about being part of the Enliven Community?

Michael and Jen are awesome trainers, it is not like a boot camp where they keep shouting at you for the hour, both know when to push you and by how much and always ensure your form is correct to prevent any injury.

The people at the classes are great too, there is a really good social aspect, everyone encourages each other and are always up for a bit of competitive fun along the way. It doesn’t matter if you are just starting out or have been going for years Michael and Jen ensure everyone just works to their limits.

  • What do you most enjoy about the Enliven Fitness workouts?

I love that classes are always different so you never get bored, even after all the years I have being a member I am still being introduced to new exercises, I don’t know how they come up with them all J

  • What continues to inspire you to be the healthiest person you can be?

I have to say probably all the people that go to the classes, to see them pushing themselves and the great results that they get. The encouragement from everyone is great and we all want to support each other to achieve our goals.

I am also loving the new 8 week challenges, it is such a great way to track progress and let you know where and when you need to push yourself that little bit more.

  • What advice can you give to others wanting to reach their health and fitness goals?

Don’t give up, it will be hard starting out but keep at it and you will see results.

Don’t be afraid to ask for help, you are not expected to nail all the exercises straightaway and it is better to have good technique than risking injury.

Try to have fun, remember it is just one hour out of your day but can make such a difference!
