A day of walking, greenery & friends is the best antidote to a week in the office. And gives you a chance to enjoy Sydney's stunning National Parks.

 

Hiking is also an incredible, restorative complement to your regular training. The benefits of steady-state cardio are profound, and engaging in long walks gently promotes fitness, fat burning, blood sugar control & longevity.

 

Don't spend your Sunday horizontal watching Netflix - do healthy human stuff instead!

 

Details:

 

Date : Sunday 21st June

 

Walk : Bobbin Head Loop 

 

Cost : Free

 

Time : TBC (we'll either meet at the gym, or arrange lifts, once we know numbers!)

 

Length : 12.9km loop

 

Time : 5 hours (circuit)

 

Grade : Easy

 

Bring : Food, water, waterproof jacket, sunglasses, suncream, walking boots, backpack, as many warm/cool clothes as you think you'll need.

 

Plan : Either meet at the gym, or arrange pick up from people's houses. The final meeting place will be Ku-Ring-Gai National Park at the start of the walk (Sphinx memorial). We'll complete the walk, stopping for a picnic along the way (how civilized!) Finish walk back at sphinx memorial.

 

Drive time : Approx. 40 minutes from the gym.
